In many cases, they don’t even consider this to be an issue. The fact is that a shaft with a diameter that is too big will prove to be a difficult grip when you are on the water. If the diameter is too small, you will have problems controlling your paddle. Make sure it fits comfortably in your hand. Remember that even small comfort issues that may not seem like a big deal in the store could end up being a big pain when you are out in the water.
